Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by here!
Hearty Mummy is a place where I share my own motherhood experiences and insights to encourage you to find the joy of being a mum.
My name is Monika. I am a mother of a 2-year-old girl and work as an associate teacher in the UK. I love reading, in parenting too. When I was at home with my beautiful girl, I wanted to summarise my readings and my own experiences to share them with other mothers.
Also, I wanted to do something that is just me using my “Me time” and my nights. Also, I was looking for stay-at-home mum job opportunities that I could do when my daughter was sleeping. Then I met the idea of blog writing.
I live with my husband, Zoltan, an IT engineer, and our little one, Mira. We come from Hungary, but we have been living in the UK for five years.
Our girl was born on 27 October 2019, and I stayed at home with her for 27 months. In the UK, the maternity leave is one year, but I lengthened it by more than one year.
My little girl is my inspiration for so many things in my life. She makes me want to be a better person and develop my self-awareness. I think as a mother, you can read numerous things, but there are a lot that somehow doesn’t apply to your specific situation. So, we learn through our own experiences, painful and joyous moments; that’s what makes motherhood marvellous. Never would I have imagined the amount of joy and happiness my little girl has given me.
I had worked in education for many years before her birth. I taught children and adults and worked with SEN students before becoming a mother. During my work experience, I got a lot of knowledge and experiences that I can use with my daughter. I am interested in the conscious parenting approach, which requires parents to self-reflect and be mindful on a daily basis.
I feel I have a lot to share about my motherhood journey that other women might understand and value. For those times when an expert, a friend, or a relative didn’t have the answer, I found myself on a mum blog or in a Facebook group that just seemed to know what I was exactly going through.
Being a mum, I always try to simplify my life and make my day-to-day life a little easier. The internet is the best tool to find other mums in the same situation. I hope I can provide some reliable experiences that you can use in your mummy life and help you find your solutions when you feel stuck in your problems.
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below, and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
